Ionia Varsity wrestling falls short to East Grand Rapids at the MHSAA team districts 39-9 .
Freshman Ethan Bowen at 125 got the bulldogs started with a dominating win over his opponent 9-2. Senior Carter Meyers at 171 also earned a win tonight by forfeit. The bulldogs finish their season as a team with 7 wins and 11 losses.
Ionia will be back on the mat Saturday to wrestle individual districts at lowell high school wrestling starts at 9:30.
