Varsity Wrestling Season Comes to an End

Ionia's wrestling season came to its end this weekend at Byron Center in the MHSAA individual regional tournament . Ionia Had two wrestlers who qualified for regionals and competed this weekend, meaning they are in the top 32 wrestlers in the state for there weight class in Division 2 Wrestling. Freshman Logan Rozewski qualified at the 103 pound weight class and sadly went 0-2 ending his season. We are all very excited to see what the future holds for this young man. Senior Aidan Clute started the day out with a win over his opponent it was his fasted pin of the season at 12 seconds. Then Aidan lost to #1 ranked wrestler from Lowell in the championship semi-finals. Aidan then dropped down to the consolation semifinals where we lost by decision. Overall we are all so proud of the hard work these wrestlers have put in this season.
