The Ionia 7th Grade A Volleyball Team came out strong tonight.  The Lady Dawgs were determined to avenge a close loss against St. Johns earlier in the season.  In the first set Ionia played well as a team and rallied behind Gabby Meyers 7 straight service points.  Ionia won 25-19.  The second set proved a bit more tough for Ionia.  They seemed to be playing catch up during the set and struggled with serve receive.  Ionia lost 15-25.  In the final set of the season Ionia played with grit and determination.  During an early rally, Ebony Williams had an incredible save that seemed to shift the momentum to Ionia.  The Lady Dawgs picked up their energy and their team play.  Paislie Patterson stepped back for her serve and served 6 straight points and Ionia won 15-7.  Coach Swinehart is super proud of her team.  They worked hard all season, they took risks and everyone improved their skills and their game play knowledge.  It was a great season.  Ionia finished 5-5
