East Lansing Runs Away With Early Lead in Victory Ionia Bulldogs Freshman fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 10-3 loss to East Lansing on Thursday.  East Lansing took the lead on a wild pitch in the first inning. The Ionia Bulldogs Freshman struggled to contain the high-powered offense of East Lansing, giving up ten runs. East Lansing got on the board in the first inning.  Rowan Spearman's wild pitch allowed one run to score for East Lansing. Ionia Bulldogs Freshman put up three runs in the fifth inning.  The big inning was thanks to a fielder's choice by Riley Yokom and a double by Caiden Sayers. East Lansing scored three runs in the sixth inning.  The big inning for East Lansing came thanks to a single by #6 and  by #23. #4 led things off on the mound for East Lansing. Ionia Bulldogs Freshman Falls to Lakewood After Sixth Inning Score   Friday's game against Lakewood was a heartbreaker for Ionia Bulldogs Freshman, as they lost the lead late in a 7-5 defeat.  The game was tied at five with Lakewood batting in the bottom of the sixth when #33 drew a walk, scoring one run. Ionia Bulldogs Freshman lost despite out-hitting Lakewood 11 to three. Ionia Bulldogs Freshman got on the board in the first inning when Riley Yokom singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. Dawson Leland toed the rubber for Ionia Bulldogs Freshman. The pitcher surrendered five runs on three hits over five innings, striking out nine.  Roel Lopez threw one inning in relief. Game Between Grand Ledge and Ionia Bulldogs Freshman Ends in a Tie   Grand Ledge and Ionia Bulldogs Freshman played to a 4-4 tie on Monday. Grand Ledge tied the game on a single in the sixth inning. Grand Ledge got on the board in the first inning. Bryce Hoppes led Ionia Bulldogs Freshman with two hits in four at bats.  Nolan Hart led Ionia Bulldogs Freshman with three stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with nine stolen bases. Grand Ledge racked up eight hits in the game.  Baker and Williams all managed multiple hits for Grand Ledge.  Baker went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Grand Ledge in hits.  Grand Ledge tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Mckennon led the way with three. The Bulldogs played tough tonight. The tie brings the young Bulldogs to 3-11-1.  The Bulldogs travel to Lakewood on Friday the May12th and the Saturday in Portland.

Ionia Bulldogs Freshman Takes a Tough Blow From St. Johns   Friday was a long day for Ionia Bulldogs Freshman, falling to St. Johns 7-1 One bright spot for Ionia Bulldogs Freshman was a single by Riley Yokom in the fifth inning. #3 toed the rubber for St. Johns. undefined lasted five innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out 13. Spearman was on the hill for Ionia Bulldogs Freshman. The righthander went two innings, allowing zero runs on one hit, striking out four and walking one.  Lopez threw three and a third innings in relief. Yokom led Ionia Bulldogs Freshman with one hit in two at bats. St. Johns had five hits in the game.  #3 and #9 all managed multiple hits for St. Johns. St. Johns Runs Away With Early Lead in Victory   Ionia Bulldogs Freshman watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 15-4 loss to St. Johns on Friday.  St. Johns scored on a single by #24, an error, an error, and a single by #6 in the first inning. The Ionia Bulldogs Freshman struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing St. Johns, giving up 15 runs. St. Johns got things moving in the first inning, when #24 singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. St. Johns scored ten runs in the fourth inning.  #3, #8,  #12, #6, #2, and #24 all drove in runs in the frame. PlayerA got the start for St. Johns. Ionia Bulldogs Freshman Loses Lead Early in Defeat   Ionia Bulldogs Freshman fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 10-5 loss to Portland on Monday.  Portland scored on a double by Trevor, a groundout by Mason, a single by Gavin, a walk by Max, and a single by Brad in the first inning. Brad was on the pitcher's mound for Portland. The fireballer went five innings, allowing five runs on five hits and striking out seven. Mason Braman started the game for Ionia Bulldogs Freshman. Braman lasted two-thirds of an inning, allowing four hits and eight runs while striking out one.  Dawson Leland threw three and a third innings out of the bullpen. Carter Ralston went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Ionia Bulldogs Freshman in hits. Hart's Walk-off Picture Perfect Ending In Ionia Bulldogs Freshman's Victory Over Okemos Ionia Bulldogs Freshman seized victory in dramatic walk-off fashion, thanks to a walk-off single at the end of the game to topple Okemos.  The game was tied at two with Ionia Bulldogs Freshman batting in the bottom of the seventh when Nolan Hart singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run. The pitching was strong on both sides. Ionia Bulldogs Freshman pitchers struck out six, while Okemos pitchers sat down ten. Okemos knotted the game up at two in the top of the fifth inning, when. Rowan Spearman got the start for the Freshman Bulldogs.  Throwing a complete game striking out 6 and walking only 1. #32 started the game for Okemos. The bulldog lasted three innings, allowing two hits and two runs while striking out five and walking one.  #24 threw three and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen. Hart led Ionia Bulldogs Freshman with three hits in three at bats.  Ionia Bulldogs Freshman was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Ionia Bulldogs Freshman Falls to Holt Rams on Walk-off   Ionia Bulldogs Freshman fell to Holt Rams 6-5 on Friday on the final play of the game.  The game was tied at five with Holt Rams batting in the bottom of the sixth when an error scored one run for Holt Rams. Ionia Bulldogs Freshman fell behind by four runs in the second inning, but then tried to fight back.  Ionia Bulldogs Freshman scored four runs in the failed comeback on a error, a stolen base by Caiden Sayers, and a single by Riley Yokom. Holt Rams opened up scoring in the first inning.  Desrocheo drove in two when Desrocheo singled. Holt Rams scored three runs in the second inning.  Holt Rams's big inning was driven by singles by Smith and Desrocheo. Foorman was on the pitcher's mound for Holt Rams. Ionia Bulldogs Freshman built a five-run lead in the second inning and then held off Holt Rams's charge.  Holt Rams tallied seven runs in the failed comeback. Desmith, Desrocheo,  Webster, Mussehl, Czewski, and Webster powered the rally with RBIs. Ionia Bulldogs Freshman fired up the offense in the first inning, when Mason Braman grounded out, scoring one run. Dawson Leland and Carter Ralston all had one hit to lead Ionia Bulldogs Freshman. N Terranova led Grand Ledge with two hits in three at bats.  Grand Ledge tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. #12 led the way with two.   The Bulldogs are now 1-4 on the season The young Bulldogs will travel Friday the 21st to Holt to take on the Rams

Ionia Bulldogs Freshman stayed in it until the end, but Fowlerville pulled away late in a 12-9 victory on Friday.  The game was tied at nine with Fowlerville batting in the bottom of the third when. Ionia Bulldogs Freshman collected four hits and Fowlerville had four in the high-scoring affair. Ionia Bulldogs Freshman got things moving in the first inning.  Dawson Leland tripled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run. Fowlerville scored six runs in the second inning.  Harbe, Helminen,  C Stankov, and G Stanton each had RBIs in the frame. Harder was on the mound for Fowlerville. The bulldog allowed three hits and eight runs over two innings, striking out two. Mason Braman toed the rubber for Ionia Bulldogs Freshman. The pitcher went one and one-third innings, allowing seven runs on three hits and striking out two.  Roel Lopez and Rowan Spearman entered the game from the bullpen, throwing one inning and two-thirds of an inning respectively. Jude Gregory, Spearman, Carter Ralston, and Leland all had one hit to lead Ionia Bulldogs Freshman. Ionia Bulldogs Freshman Grabs Lead in Third Inning for Victory Over Fowlerville Ionia Bulldogs Freshman ran off with the lead late in the game in a 7-5 victory over Fowlerville on Friday.  The game was tied at four with Ionia Bulldogs Freshman batting in the top of the third when an error scored one run for Ionia Bulldogs Freshman. Fowlerville scored three runs in the second inning, but Ionia Bulldogs Freshman still managed to pull out the victory.  Fowlerville scored its runs on a walk by Wrobluest. In the first inning, Fowlerville got their offense started.  Charbong singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run. Carter Ralston led things off on the mound for Ionia Bulldogs Freshman. Ralston surrendered four runs on one hit over two innings, striking out three. Docusen started the game for Fowlerville. The bulldog surrendered two runs on two hits over two innings, striking out four.  Helminen, Harbe, and C Stankov each contributed in relief for Fowlerville. Mason Braman, Ralston, Jude Gregory, and Riley Yokom each collected one hit to lead Ionia Bulldogs Freshman.  Ionia Bulldogs Freshman tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases.
