HASTINGS HIGH SCHOOL: 13
The Ionia Girls JV Team faced Hastings for the second time this season on Thursday, April 25th. This time was a better played game from Ionia as they were able to rally more hits and play at a higher level than before. They still ended up with two losses. The first game was a loss of 3-13. Adah Drown pitched for Ionia and also went 2-2. Hannah Alderink went 1-1 with a walk. The next game Kaylee Schmid led the team going 2-2 and Gabbi Meyers and Hannah Alderink both went 1-1 with a walk. Ionia just could not hold Hastings off defensively and the score of this game was 19-4. Ionia will continue their season on Friday, April 26th at home vs. Saranac for their annual Purple Game to Strike out Cancer. The first game will start at 4pm for the Junior Varisty followed by the Varsity game.
