The Ionia 8th grade girls finished their season in Waverly on Monday, losing 22-56.
First and foremost, I wanted to thank each of the Ionia girls for playing with integrity and honor tonight. We faced many challenges on the court and each girl maintained their respect for the game, for themselves, and for the opposition the entire night. Thank you for representing Ionia with class.
Leading the Bulldogs was Olivia Lemke with 11 points. Ava Benedict added 8 points, followed by Ash Ellsworth with 3. Miah Wittebach, Jordyn Ciganick, Alex Jensen, Sydney Graham, and Gena Rogers left everything they had on the court, fighting until the very end.
