Ionia traveled to Portland for the last game of the season. Unfortunately, they were unable to come home with a win. Final score Portland 34 and Ionia 23. Both teams played evenly in the first half but Portland came out in the third quarter and pushed their lead to 8 and the Bulldogs were never able to come back. Leading scorers were Davon Jackson with 6 points and Ashton Miller with 6 points. Other contributors were Kayden Dona with 3, Noah Valentine 2, Brock Shattuck 2, Jackson Fuller 2, and Caiden Miller with 2. The Bulldogs had a record of 0-9 on the season.

Tonight the Bulldogs hosted the Redwings of St. Johns. It was not a good night for the team. The final score was St. Johns 48 and Ionia 12. Tonight the Bulldogs traveled to Eaton Rapids to take on the Greyhounds. Tough night for the team. Final score Eaton Rapids 40 Ionia 20. Leading scorers were Ashton Miller with 5 points and Jackson Fuller with 4. Others who scored were Eli Roberts 3, Kayden Dona 2, Noah Valentine 2, Brock Shattuck 2, and Anthony Davis 2. Tonight the Bulldogs hosted Stockbridge. It was rough going for the team. The team got down early and had a hard time finding a rhythm on offense. At half the score was 37-16 Stockbridge. The second half was much like the first and the final score was Stockbridge 58 Ionia 25. Leading scorers were Brock Shattuck with 8 points and Devon Jackson with 8 points. Other scorers were Noah Valentine with 3, Jackson Fuller with 3, and Ashton Miller with 3. The team is now 0-5. Their next game is Monday, Dec. 4 at Eaton Rapids.

Tonight the Bulldogs hosted Portland for their first matchup of the season. Ionia led at the end of the first half, 14-13. In the third quarter, they were able to hold the lead 26-23. But, in the fourth quarter, the Bulldogs let their guard down and Portland was able to take advantage of it. They outscored Ionia 2-18 winning 41-28. It was a hard-fought game and the team is looking forward to playing them again at the end of the season. Leading scorers were Noah Valentine with 9 points, Kayden Dona with 5, and Brock Shattuck with 5. Other scorers were Jaxon McCain with 3, Kaiden Cherpes with 2, Davon Jackson, and Ashton Miller both with 2 points. The Bulldogs are now 0-4 on the season. Their next game is Wednesday, Nov. 29 at home against Stockbridge.

Tonight the B Team hosted Sparta. The Team played tough but came up short losing 40-33. Leading scorers were Noah Valentine with 11 points and Brock Shattuck with 8 points. Tonight Ionia hosted Charlotte for the first home game of the season. It was an exciting game but unfortunately, the Bulldogs lost in overtime 29-23. The Bulldogs jumped out to the early lead and at halftime led 11-8. In the third quarter, Ionia was able to stretch the lead but Charlotte came back at the end to close the gap 19-15. In the fourth Charlotte was able to tie it up late and then take the lead. Kayden Dona was fouled with no time left and hit his first free throw to tie and push us into overtime. Charlotte took control and eventually won. Leading scorers were Kayden Dona with 11 points and Brock Shattuck with 4 points. Other contributors were Eli Roberts with 3, Anthony Davis with 2, Davon Jackson with 2, and Jackson Fuller with 1. The Bulldogs are now 0-2. Their next game is Monday, Nov. 20 at home against Sparta at 5:30.

Tonight the B Team traveled to Lansing Catholic for their first game of the season. It was a tough start for the team and at halftime, they were down 19-7. They picked it up in the 3rd quarter with the strong play of Brock Shattuck. The Bulldogs made a late run in the fourth quarter and cut the lead to 8 points but were unable to get any closer. They lost 36-26. Leading scorers were Brock Shattuck with 15 points, Noah Valentine with 6 points, and Kayden Dona with 5 points. The Bulldogs are 0-1 for the season. Their next game is Wednesday, Nov. 15 at home against Charlotte.
