Tuesday night the Ionia Swimming and Diving team went up against Hastings at Hastings.  Winning with a final score was Ionia 84 to Hastings 74.  There were a lot of great races:

Placing 1^st for Ionia was:

• Seth Wandell in the 100 yard breaststroke
• Carl Goeckel in the 200 yard freestyle, 100 yard butterfly
• Christian Martinez in the 50 yard freestyle
• The 200 yard freestyle relay of Goeckel, Martinez, Holman, and Asher
• The 400 yard freestyle relay of Goeckel, Richey, Martinez, and Bushee

Placing 2^nd for Ionia was:

• The 200 yard IM relay of Thelen, Wandell, Bushee, and Richey
• Christian Martinez in the 100 yard freestyle
• Brendin Bushee in the 500 yard freestyle
• Jaxxon Thelen in the 100 yard backstroke

Placing 3^rd for Ionia was:

• Gabe Holman in the 200 yard freestyle
• Brendin Bushee in the 50 yard freestyle
• Carleigh Thompson in diving
• Seth Wandell in the 100 yard freestyle
• Nick Richey in the 500 yard freestyle
• The 400 yard freestyle relay team of Holman, Thelen, Asher, and Wandell

PRs for the meet were:

• Nick Richey in the 200 yard IM
• Brendin Bushee in the 500 yard freestyle
• Carleigh Thompson in the 100 yard backstroke

The boys will now turn their focus to preparing for the CAAC Red League Meet at Mason next week.
