OLIVET HIGH SCHOOL: 10
The Ionia Girls JV Softball Team achieved their first two wins of the season against Olivet on Tuesday, April 23rd. The girls showed up to play as they had many incredible at bats in their first game and accomplished an 18-10 win. Bella Delgado, Ava Bucholtz, and Kaya Clark all went 4-4 this game and Aubrei Nash went 3-4. Bella Delgado pitched for Ionia and had 5 strikeouts against Olivet. The girls kept the momentum going into their second game and cleaned up a lot of their fielding errors leading them to a 12-4 win. Adah Drown pitched and struck out 4 of the Olivet batters. Adah also went 2-2 with a walk and Kaya Clark went 2-2 with a walk as well. Kaylee Schmid went 1-1 with 2 walks. Ionia will continue their play on Thurday, April 25th at Hastings!
